Beaumont Health is restructuring its leadership team, Feb. 1, as it strives to improve quality, support ongoing growth, and enhance access for patients where and when they need care.

The leadership changes are the next step in what Beaumont calls its ongoing evolution, which has included recent announcements about outpatient campuses, urgent care, and mental health.

“Patients are gradually choosing more outpatient-based services, rather than inpatient hospital settings,” says John Fox, CEO of Beaumont Health. “We must create more access for our patients through a network of acute care campuses, outpatient and retail sites, and joint ventures and partnerships. This restructuring helps ensure our future success in the ever-changing world of health care.”

The leadership changes that will take effect on Feb 1 include:

  • Nancy Susick becoming president of Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
  • David Claeys becoming president of the Dearborn and Farmington Hills hospital campuses.
  • Christine Stesney-Ridenour becoming president of the Taylor, Trenton, and Wayne hospital campuses.
  • James Lynch M.D. becoming interim president of the Troy and Grosse Pointe hospital campuses.
  • Connie O’Malley RN becoming president of outpatient services.
  • Lee Ann Odom becoming president of shared services while remaining in charge of Beaumont’s mental health expansion plans.

“We are excited about our leaders who will take on more responsibility and help our health system become the national leader for patient and family centered care,” says Carolyn Wilson, COO of Beaumont Health.
